Newsletter VI, Winter 2012

fundraising-2012-pic-1Access to basic health care is a human right, as such FHHHH and its members have worked tirelessly since it inception to bring healthcare to those with limited or no access. Our mission has been to bring quality care to underserved population in a personal and compassionate manner. It is with this mindset that we embarked on a very busy course in 2012.

In 2012, FHHH completed construction of the Carries Centre de Sante. The clinic has 3 fully furnished and equipped examining rooms, a large well‐ stocked pharmacy, waiting room / registration area. We also have a procedure room, which, will be use for minor surgery and as a delivery room. The clinic also has space reserved for a laboratory. Eventually we aim to add dental and ophthalmology suits to offer comprehensive care to the region. FHHH clinic will be staffed by a nurse and eventually by a doctor. We believe that collaboration with like minded organizations enable us to increase the services we are able to provide to communities in need. We have welcomed and assisted multiple medical mission groups by providing them with a facility to see patients, information about preferred medications, and sharing our experience.
